Steve Fylypchuk brings 20 plus years of domestic and international business experience in various fields including information technology, retailing, hospitality, real estate investment, and sales to Murphy Business & Financial Corporation. He understands the issues facing both business buyers and sellers having bought and successfully sold his own businesses in the past. His experience ranges from owning his own retail store to leading an ERP implementation team in a 200-person organization. Steve has also been investing in real estate since 1988 and has developed a keen understanding of the real estate market.

In 2003 Steve became a franchisee with Wine Kitz Franchise Inc., the only national winemaking retail franchise in Canada. He accomplished a successful 10 years with Wine Kitz achieving Top Performer status for the last eight years in a row and worked closely with the franchisor on the Franchise Advisory Committee. Having experience in both purchasing an existing franchise business and starting a new franchise operation, Steve is uniquely qualified to advise clients in either situation.

Steve holds one of only two Certified Business Intermediary (“CBI”) designations in Calgary, conferred by the International Business Brokers Association. He is also a member of the Chamber of Commerce, BNI Entrepreneurs, and Foothills Toastmasters in Calgary.

Steve had already begun working as a Business Intermediary prior to joining Murphy Business & Financial Corporation. He is committed to helping his clients transition in or out of a business on the best possible terms and to exceed expectations as a discrete, qualified intermediary satisfying the unique needs of each and every client.
Steve holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Alberta with a concentration in Finance. He is from Calgary, Alberta where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
